The Powder Metallurgy Technologist (PMT) Certification Program was created by APMI International to recognize individuals who possess defined bodies of knowledge encompassing the broad field of powder metallurgy and particulate materials.

Certification is formal acknowledgement by APMI that an individual has demonstrated comprehension of a specified body of knowledge encompassing the broad field of powder metallurgy and particulate materials. It promotes high professional standards within this field.

With continuous growth and change in the powder metallurgy and particulate materials industries, there is a need for a workforce knowledgeable in all aspects of the field. Certification identifies those individuals who have attained the required knowledge of the field and who meet high professional standards.

Complimentary Powder Metallurgy Technologist Certification (PMT Level I) is available to all those who take the POWDER METALLURGY Self-Study Course. Each Self-Study Course student will have the opportunity to sit for the PMT examination for free within 18 months of starting the course.
