The U.S. Army marked a major milestone in advanced manufacturing with the March 19 ribbon-cutting of the new Additive Makerspace at Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey. The facility strengthens the Army’s commitment to accelerating innovation through additive manufacturing and rapid prototyping.

Höganäs AB, Höganäs, Sweden has announced the winners of the international PowdrIQ metal powder university challenge, recognizing innovative ideas in metal powder applications addressing future industrial and sustainability challenges. The winners are 1^st place: Nian Hong and Shuangfei Yan, Shanghai University in China; 2^nd place: Akshay Bankar, Nit Trichy (National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli), India; and 3^rd place: Camili Baldessini and Desirée Gomes Heleno Rita, University of Campinas, Brazil.
